Three pieces for piano solo
Three pieces for piano solo are experimental scores. Designed as structural modules, they provide a chance for the young and professional pianist to confront, explore and express themselves freely and consciously through improvisation. The modules are organized by a verbalization of the musical process of an analytical and descriptive nature that directs the performer towards a self-regulating process of musical functions. This work was part of the BookCity Milano 2014 calendar and was presented at the Teatro dal Verme in Milan on 16-12-2014 with a concert conference.
Green hope
Verde speranza is a composition for piano. The composer's first, written at the age of 19 at the beginning of his studies of music and piano. The character of the piece is expressive, the style is minimalist. The level of difficulty is easy. The piece involves the use of different techniques: 5 fingers, rotation and execution of octaves not tied.
Suite by the sea
Suite dal mare collects two studies for piano Ponente and Levante. The scores are written in an experimental way and include modules organized by a wide verbalization. Designed with structural modules they constitute an opportunity for the young and professional pianist to explore, compare and express themselves in a free and conscious way through improvisation. The modules are organized by an analytical verbalization of the musical process that directs the performer towards a self-regulating process of musical functions. These studies were presented at the Institute for the Blind in Milan on 24-10-2015 with a conference concert, on the occasion of BookCity Milan 2015.
When the wind blows
When the Wind Blows is a composition for piano. The character of the piece is sweet and expressive, the style is similar to minimalism. The level of difficulty is medium. The piece does not require the use of a particular technique but it is possible to find: chords, small arpeggios, polyphony. The difficulty of the piece is in the expressive control and touch.
Prelude for clarinet solo in Bb
Prelude for solo clarinet in Bb is a composition for clarinet. The character of the piece is Allegro, the style is dodecaphonic. The level of difficulty is high. The piece requires the use of different expressive techniques and for its brilliant character it is suitable for a concert performance.
Frankenstein the Alchemist
Frankenstein the Alchemist is part of the Studi production and is the last piece of the series. The purpose of Studi is to develop musical ability and intelligibility. The technical difficulties are high, considering the high speed and the mature technical gesture for a virtuoso and expressive performance. The character of the piece is intense and rapid, the style is minimalist. The piece is developed mainly on the arpeggio technique. This piece is a recomposition of the soundtrack of the short film Frankenstein (1910) produced by Edison Studios.
